Crystal is a distinguished social work and clinical counsellor professional with over two decades of experience. She is a Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant who specializes in working with first responders and adults who have survived childhood trauma. Her innovative EMDR treatment program for survivors in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside is highly regarded. Crystal is a leading advocate for Trauma-Informed Practice and has presented her expertise on EMDR at various conferences. She presented her talk on intensive EMDR for military and first responders at the EMDR Canada Conference 2019. In 2023, she spoke at the EMDR HAP Conference about the innovative ASSYST and EMDR-IGTP-OTS Humanitarian Psychosocial Pilot Project for Ukrainian Refugees.
